Summer of the Seventeenth Doll

Considered to be the most significant play in Australian theatre history, Ray Lawler’s ‘Summer of the Seventeenth Doll’ first premiered in 1955. Having toured the world over, the play continues to beautifully capture the Australian culture some 60-plus years on! The play centres around six significant characters and details the events of the summer of 1953. Set to take the Hamilton stage, this production is directed by the award-winning Denny Lawrence.
