The Digital Innovation and Smart Agriculture DigiHub - or the Digital Education and Innovation Hub - is a free hands-on event for tinkerers and gamers of all kinds. Though postponed from its original 2021 date, this exciting event launches a whole weekend of tech and gaming-themed activities in Hamilton, Western Victoria. Dive into The Hub and discover drones, virtual reality, 3D printers, robots, animation, gadgets, and esports gaming, all while exploring pathways, careers and opportunities in the booming tech industry. Australian Esports League will have their Free Play Zone set up ahead of the weekend’s Esports Cup, from Just Dance mats to racing simulators, sharpen your skills or just come to challenge your mates. AEL will also run workshops for high school students in shoutcasting/commentating, alongside a range of hands-on workshops by One Day Studios creative makerspace. This is a unique opportunity for young people in rural areas to meet those who have turned their passions for gaming and creative technology into careers, and see how they too can forge a future in creative digital industries. Visit the website or find the Facebook events for more information on the entire program of (mostly free) events.
