Discover Glenthompson

Views For Days. Colourful Finds. Home To Menzies Lane.

Superior views, spirited locals and a sensational mural.  Glenthompson may be small but it is mighty.

Situated at the foothills of the Grampians (Gariwerd) Ranges is the small town of Glenthompson. For a town of just a couple of hundred residents, Glenthompson’s offerings are mighty; strong spirit, an artistic nature and one of the best views of the region.

Glenthompson proudly lays claim to the best views of the entire southern range of The Grampians (Gariwerd)!  Robson’s Hill Lookout on Menzies Lane is famed with photographers, loved by locals and revered by visitors. The far-reaching vista takes in the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park, the Oaklands Hill Wind Farm and everything in between and far beyond.  The views are absolutely breathtaking.

Found within the charming Anglican Church of Glenthompson is a piece of art that will capture your attention and fill your heart; a mural that artfully depicts the spirited Glenthompson community is colourfully spread across the interior walls of the church.  Take in local faces, donning their signature wares and welcoming smiles, all settled within their favourite location, the beautiful rural landscape of Glenthompson.

With gracious country hospitality, heart-warming community feels and a view like no other, Glenthompson will firmly imprint itself into your memories.
