The Greater Hamilton region is the destination that offers so much more than just a location for event organisers and attendees.

Positioned centrally between Melbourne and Adelaide, the Greater Hamilton region is perfectly placed to bring people together, boasting venues and attractions to ensure your event is remembered as being welcoming, educational, collegial and inspiring.

The natural appeal of the region includes the spectacular Grampians ranges, picturesque waterfalls, volcanic plains and red-gum dotted rolling hills of pastures.

And while Hamilton is the region’s main centre, our regional villages give organisers plenty of opportunity to enjoy the distinctive charisma and character on offer.

Venues within the region are able cater for events of all sizes. From conference room facilities overlooking the Grampians ranges to inspire ideas, to racecourses and open public areas with the facilities and space to accommodate thousands. The Greater Hamilton region is one place with many possibilities.

Hamilton is situated on the intersection of three major highways; Hamilton B140, Glenelg B160 and Henty A200. The city is serviced by daily V-Line coaches, charter services at the Hamilton Airport and several hire car companies.

Events which require day-trip activities can take advantage of Greater Hamilton’s location within a 90 minute drive of some of Australia’s major tourist destinations including the Great Ocean Road and the Coonawarra Wine Region.

Greater Hamilton is the number one choice destination when hosting in an event in a location with everything, but close to so much more.
